about

The third album by the BD. This contains the best songs that came out of February Album Writing Month in the last few years, with a few others mixed in. We've been polishing them little by little since 2016.

We're excited to introduce our good friend Simon Santiago, who contributed some serious guitar mayhem.

"Sitting up" is something we used to do when we were little boys who didn't want to go to bed. We'd pretend to go to sleep in our room, but when the coast was clear, we'd turn our light back on, line all of our stuffed animals up to sit by the headboard, and "Sit up." We didn't do anything really naughty or crazy - that's really all it was. The fun was just in staying awake and stealing time for shenanigans. Since Tom and Mark both have jobs, families, and adult responsibilities now, making these albums feels a lot like Sitting Up used to feel. It helps us remember what it means to be twin brothers.
